Right after my last post, following a very nonchalant “hey, you sure you don’t want to go to Europe with me?” text from my sister, I decided that YES, I would very much love to take off and go to Europe for a little bit.
And so I did the very next week.
Hopefully that explains the lack of updates this month. I was backpacking, so packing light was a must, thus no laptop. Three countries, two smuggled bottles of Fanta exotic, and one overused credit card later, here I am, back in the states. I’ve been catching up on work and trying to reclaim my early 2014 zealous sense of ambition. My sister has been instrumental in helping me accomplish everything with the ever potent death glare when I procrastinate and as such, my taxes are finally done (!) and I can see the floor of my bedroom again. Oh, and for the first time in my life, I am/was watching college basketball. I need to be as far removed from competition as possible because it takes over my brain.
I’ll be posting the recap of my trip one country at a time within the next couple of days, and it’ll be nice to finally reflect upon it all–the good, the bad, the hilarious, the two bathrooms I locked myself into, the boat I woke up on. I’ll tell you all about it.
Until then, good night.
P.S. I don’t configure my clock on my laptop so I can be as focused as possible, which is why I’m only now realizing it’s almost three in the morning. Early bird gets the worm?
